American Soldier slideshow and captions

Part Two.

A. I chose this picture to be a powerful one because it show how Ian Fisher is close to his dad and that they are going to miss each other. This was the most strong image to me in the slide show because not every son shows so much affections to their fathers.

B. I think that chapter 8: Coming Home was more powerful because it shows more emotions and happiness because Ian finally gets to come home for good.

C.  Each picture helps tell the story because of the order they go and by the motions the people are doing to show us what is going on.

Part Three.

A. When you look at the main pictures of Ian Fisher they mainly use present tense verbs to show what he is doing.

B. The captions help enhance the images by explaining the actions of the person and telling us what the picture really means.

Part Four.

In "Chapter 1: Signing Up" look at picture number 16 were he is clapping for his team The Rockies.

Caption Read: Ian went alone to see the Rockies play their last game of the season alone.

In "Chapter 2: In the Army" go to image 17 were Ian is being yelled at by his supervisor.

Caption Read: Ian got introuble by his supervisor for sleeping during the worm up and now has do go do 50 push ups.

In "Chapter 5: Army Blues" go to image 18 were Ian is at Doctor Jones office.

Caption Read: Ian had to get a shoot and since he dosen't like getting them he was so scared!

Marlboro Marine

Part One:
 a.) Luis Sinco utilized some good pictures to present this story about Blake Miller and how he was after the war. Luis Sinco used some emotional music to go with the picture to make us feel sad and at the same time try to feel what Blake was feeling. The editing was also good because Luis Sinco would combine good picture that went with the music he was using and to go with the flow when Blake was talking. He also took pictures of Blake every second and blended them in to show some movement but with only pictures. Luis Sinco would put text before some picture to tell us what we are going to see.

b.) The thing that added more power to this slide show in my opinion was the music and when he started to play the guitar to show more emotions towards these pictures. If this slide didn't have sad music to follow it it would of not been so sad and touching.

Part Two:
 a.) I think the most powerful picture in this whole slide show is the one when he is wearing his army outfit and smoking. Why, because if you look at all the pictures in this slide show it mostly shows him holding a cigar, smoking it, or just having a pack of cigars. This is why i think the main picture is him smoking.

 b.) The group of picture that are important in this slide show are the ones were he is always lonely and just riding his bike. Why, because those pictures show how he always wanted to be lonely and the only thing that he wanted to do is just ride his bike.

c.) The music in this slide show was great because this helped the viewers feel sad and emotional towards these pictures. It also helped us try to feel what Blake was feeling at that moment and what Luis Sinco was also feeling at the end.

d.) These images helped tell the story of Blake from the beginning since he was at war, getting married, depressed, and when his life just started to fall apart. We didnt need any body movement to help us understand the meaning of this slide show.

Show and Tell

I found this picture interesting because you can tell how everyone is having a great time bouncing a guy all over the crowed. This picture makes me wonder why that guy is in that bubble like thing and what was the purpose of it. I like this picture because it shows so much excitement and happiness and makes me want to be in this picture and bouncing that guy like everyone.

I found this video interesting because of how the people were so happy to be celebrating M.L.K. day. I also liked this video because i got to go to this event and liked when the guys were singing. I also find this video interesting because of how much the people show their respect and admiration to Martin Luther King.

This picture was very inspiring because of the way they created this picture. This is a great picture because its very unique and a great imaginary picture. I like this picture because its a great non-fiction photo and you can tell what its trying to say. The lighting on this picture is great because it spots out the edges of the object so it will look soft and not rough. This picture does not show any composition because everything is in a good spot and its not just a blur.

Great Black and White Photographers part.3

What caught my eye on this picture was the rock and a tree floating in the middle of the sky/river. Why i chose this picture was because of the type of imagination this photographer had and the unique way he liked to combine things together and make them into one. In this picture their is a hand that is blending in with the other stuff in the picture it seems like this person can hold anything with his hands. I also see mountains in the background and trees at the top of the picture. At the bottom of the picture you see the sky and rocks some seem like they are floating in the sky. I would smell the trees and rocks that would be a weird smell. I would also be able to smell the water and that might have the smell of fish since its a pond like river. If i was in this picture i would be able to hear the water just flowing by softly. Another thing that i would be able to hear would be the wind just breezing by the trees. Something i can taste would be the water and i don't think that would be good at all cause it would have that taste of fish. Since their is air breezing by i would be able to taste a little bit of nature even though i don't think i would have a familiar taste. I would be able to feel the water flowing by in my fingers. I could also feel the fresh wind just breezing by in my face and body. Something else i could feel would be the roughness of the rocks and see if they are soft.

The first thing that caught my eye when i saw this picture was that it looked weird but in a unique way. I chose this picture because it had a unique way of showing nature and blending in stuff together. In this picture i see a rock in the middle of the landscape and their is a passage going to the rock. The rock looks like if you walk towards it you will be transported to another place. I also see someones face on the side of the rock and she seems sad by the expression she is making on her face. On the back of the rock you can see trees on one side and the other their is only one dark tree. If i was to be in the picture i think the place would smell like nature, fresh, and like dirt recently wet. Since this picture was taken in a open space area i would think that you would not hear no noise only birds pacing by. You might also be able to hear the wind pacing by when it goes through the trees. I don't think i would be able to taste something in this place were the picture was taken but i might be able to taste the wind and i think that it would be a clean taste since its in a clean nature area. When it comes to feel i think i would be able to feel the hardness of the rocks and the air breezing in my face. If i was able to walk around the area i would feel the grass and the tree branches.
