Abandoned Theme Parks

I would like to go visit Spreepark, Berlin, Germany and Six Flags, New Orleans to take pictures. The park in New Orleans is the one that interest me the more because the images that other photographers took look beautiful. Especially if you go when the sun is setting down then the images looks awesome because of the different colors you have together. The Spreedpark is another beautiful park that i think would be a great place to take my camera and take pictures. The pictures that other people took look great and you can tell that this park is abandoned. This is why i chose these two parks because the images look wonderful and i would like to take some pictures of my own.

 1) Down Town is a great place to take pictures.
2)  In the woods is another great place.
3)  In the country side
4) At a park.
5) In a cemetery.

I think it would be fun to take pictures in the country side because you dont know what you are going to expect over their. Mostly all the images that i have seen of country backgrounds are beautiful and peaceful. All the pictures that you take will mostly come out pretty only if you don't know how to take pictures then they will be ugly. The pictures you can mostly take in the country is the beautiful land scape and all the nature that is around their. That's why i think the country side is one of the best and unique place to take pictures.

So i can go and take pictures in my location there will have to be something interesting out their. Also the weather would have to be great. The only materials i would need to take pictures would be my camera and my self. I wouldn't need anything else to take pictures. I don't think i need to follow any rues to take pictures only if I'm going to take a picture of a person then i would have to ask their permission but that would be all.

Final Exam study guide

1. You click on my computer then you let it open then you click the s that says server drive.

2. We go to  akinsphotojblog.blogspot.com/ and look what our assignment is and then we go and do the work to learn more about photography.

3. The first thing you are going to need is an oatmeal can with out the oatmeal. After that you are going to cover the cap with black construction paper so light wont go trough. Then you are going to cover the inside of the can with construction paper so you don't see any brown inside. When you are done putting the construction paper you will draw a rectangle on the side of the can in the middle. After that you will cut three sides of the rectangle you drew leaving one uncut to use it as a little door. Next you will cut a piece of foil just enough to cover the rectangle you have cut. Then you place the foil inside the can to cover the rectangle completely. When that is placed you will have to use a needle and make a small hole in the middle of the foil paper. Next you will look in the inside of the can and check if you can see the light going trough the little hole on the foil paper. If that's the only light you see then you are done and just close the little flap with a piece of paper so next time it will be easy to open and close.

4. The pin hole camera is only made to take one single picture and just in a few minutes. When you are ready to capture an image with you'r pin hole camera you will need a photography paper to capture the image you want. When you have your paper make sure no light if hiting it or the paper will be ruined. Place the paper inside the can and make sure you place the shinny side facing the hole where light will be going trough. When you are done with that you will need to find out how much sunlight their is outside.

5. Know how to define and explain the 10 rules of composition, these 10 rules will be a MAJOR portion of the final and you better know how to recognize these rules, explain these rules and show me you understand them:

5a.  Rule of thirds
5b. Balancing Elements
5c. Leading Lines
5d. Symmetry and Patterns (repetition)
5e. Viewpoint
5f. Background/simplicity
5g. Create depth
5h. Framing
5i. Cropping
5j. Mergers and avoiding them
6. Explain how action and emotion impact a photograph
7. Explain how a photo can "tell a story"
8. Explain what the word "multimedia" means and share some examples of how we have seen them in class (on the blog)
9. Know how to correctly write a caption. I HIGHLY suggest you rewrite the rules on your blog and find at least 2 photos on the internet, post them on your blog and write correct captions for them. This will be a MAJOR portion of the exam as well.
10. Explain how "strong action" verbs enhance a caption
11. Explain how ethics come into play in regards to photojournalism and compare and contrast this with fashion photography. You really need to get the idea that changing photos to fit a need or to make something look like something else is VERY unacceptable in photojournalism.
12. Explain the difference between a portrait and a self portrait.
13. Explain what characteristics of a good portrait are.
14. Explain what the major differences are between newspaper and yearbook.

Choice Sheets.

If i was to join a publication next year i would chose news paper because it seems more interesting then year book. I would also like to take News paper because i like to take pictures and write my opinions about them. I would also like to let the school know about events they couldnt attend and what is going on in our school.
