"Great black and white photographers, PART 2."

Jerry Uelsmann Bio.
Jerry Uelsmann was born in Detroit on June 11,1934. He started teaching at the university of Florida in Gainsville in 1960 ("my first job"). Before Jerry Uelsmanna became a graduate research professor of art at the university in 1974. His potographs are in the permanent collections of many museums worldwide,including the Metropolitan Museum in Gainesville the initernational museum of photography. When Jerry Uelsmann was young he attended public school and when he got to high school he became more interested in photography.  Uelsmann enrolled at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1953 and received his B.F.A. in 1957. He also got his M.S. and M.F.A. from Indiana University in 1960. Some books that Uelsmann did are (Other Realities by Jerry Uelsmann, Museum Studies, Referencing Art ex.) Mr. Uelsmann is still alive but has retierd from teaching and lives with his wife, the artist Maggie Taylor.
